going home!
it was so exciting to put her in her carseat for the first time! what a wild thing, indeed, to bring this new life into our home. i couldn't believe that she belonged to us.

beautiful baby
this is my baby at 2 days old. this blog is mostly for her, but it is also to entertain its viewers. josh and i talk about how huntleigh is really just this gift we've been entrusted with while we live on this earth and while she is with us. every day with her is a precious experience and we try our hardest not to take that time for granted. we believe our role as her parents is to train her up in such a way as to give her wings, help her discover them, and then teach her how to use them. we realize that, eventually, this means she will fly away, which we pray for and hope for, however heart-breaking that day may be. so huntleigh, we love you. we can't wait to watch you fly.
