350,000 people

i know this picture isn't very exciting, but i wanted to capture just how vast this track was. however, this is only a small corner of the track. there were 350,000 spectators and the track is 2 1/2 miles long. that's 200 laps...which is a very long time....especially when it's the hottest day on record for the Indy 500. we did sit directly across from David Letterman...but could only see him through binoculars. it was quite the experience.

the indy 500

The real reason we went to Indianapolis was for this redneck fun!

hair pulling

...we're learning how to be gentle. good thing Katelyn is a pretty mellow gal!

Cabin babies

These are the Halvorson and Hager little girls. We went to see Kurt and Julianne the week after Hannah and Zach got married. They are currently the other Mid-western family in the Cabin contingent. It's an exciting life, for all those of you who are living elsewhere. Seriously though, we had a great time with the Halvo family. Here, Katelyn is about 4 1/2 months and Hunts is almost 7 months. You can check out more pictures of the Halvorsons here.

Aunt Hannah and Uncle Zach

Huntleigh (still with Zach's glasses!) with Hannah and Zach just one week before they got married!!

This is B

We always enjoy a trip out to Pop and B's house because they live on a great piece of property in Eureka. She doesn't know it now, but Huntleigh is going to love this so much as she gets older!

Uncle Zach's glasses

Aunt Beka

This is Aunt Beka with a new hair color...it changes a lot, but we love this one. Huntleigh was distracted by Uncle Scott, who was trying to make her laugh.

not sure what to think about this guy

This is Uncle Scott. I think Huntleigh is mesmerized by how big his shirt was.

Josh's other baby

could we hitch a ride?

daddy's co-pilot

baby pilot

This was the first time Huntleigh saw Josh's airplane. He was so proud to have us there! We didn't fly this time, but soon! We have to figure out how to get a carseat in such a small cabin!
