cold turkey

This child has literally just decided to stop wearing diapers. I am not joking. I had been tossing around the idea of attempting the 3-day potty training method, once again, (I did it with Hunts and it worked!!!) when Lucy decided she was no longer going to pee in her pants. I thought she had a UTI, so we went to the doctor and she peed in a cup and all her test results came back normal. Because clearly it's not cool to pee in your pants anymore when your almost 28 months. I get it. There are kids in China who have never worn diapers. They just pee and poop out of a little hole in their pants. Again....not joking. I have pictures somewhere in my archives.

So this is my child who potty trained herself. I mean, what are parents for anyways?! We're so high strung. It's our kids who are teaching us to chill out, or as we like to say around the Hager house, simmer down. Simmer down now. I said a simma don nah.


And P.S....I in no way mean this to be a bragging blog entry. This is my most strong willed child at her finest, choosing to use her will for good. To each her own. Her decision had nothing to do with me or my desires.
