a proud moment for hunts

We have this great neighborhood picnic every year complete with the big air-jumper and pony rides and everything. This year, Huntleigh was super interested in looking at the ponies, but wasn't so certain about taking a ride on one. When they went in for a closer look, she told Josh she would be okay with sitting on one, but not riding it. The guy leading the pony just started walking with her and Huntleigh seemed to go with the flow. Josh and I didn't make a big deal of it and told her we were proud of her and after she got off the pony, she was so proud of herself and said, "I faced my fears, daddy!" She is an awesome kid. She rode the pony four more times.

What a precious story. It's one that you can pull out for her in years to come..."remember that time you were scared to ride the pony??" -- glad you are back to the blog:)
